Isyss Honnen– is unapologetically Fa’afafine (Samoan gender identity translated as “in the manner of a woman”). She is a trans woman of color from Pago Pago, American Samoa. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting with plans to become a CPA and start a firm run by QTPIs – Queer and Trans Pacific Islanders. She works as the Finance and Program Associate for Pride Foundation. For the last 5 years, she has served as a Board member for UTOPIA Seattle. She is a co-facilitator for [trans]ACTION, a monthly support group for former and current PI Trans & Gender Non-Conforming sex workers. She is dedicated to helping other API trans and gender non-conforming sex workers affected by inequities in access to healthcare, education, leadership development, employment, etc. She is actively supporting non-profit organizations that serve the API and LGBTQIA communities of Washington.
