Lika was born in Samoa and at the age of 3, began traveling the world with her parents due to her father’s Special Forces career. She has always acted on the belief of putting your family and community first. With her diverse background and a love for her community, she has sought out work to improve the places she has lived. She is the former President of Seattle NOW (National Organization for Women), a community organizer, has been PTA president at her children’s schools, involved in NAPAWF, and is a Web/graphic designer who works primarily with non-profits. She is also a committee member of the Samoan Cultural Day in Tacoma and NHPI-Seattle. She has had these and many other positions, all while being a mother to 6 wonderful children. In her off time she enjoys reading and writing poetry.
